Packing Light: One Week in Hilton Head
Everything I packed (carry-on only!), plus the outfits I wore while we were there...
We just got back from the most beautiful week in Hilton Head where we celebrated the 4th with family by the beach. It was humid, of course, but not quite as hot as it has been when we’ve been previously and we lucked out with barely any rain. Truly such a wonderful trip — any my packing list proved to be perfect! Here’s what made it in my bag1, plus photos of the outfits I put together with each of the items…
Cropped black tank (old from Apiece Apart; similar here)
One-shoulder white tank (coming this Thursday, but available in black now!)
Cream raw silk shorts (Natalie20)
Black raw silk shorts (Natalie20)
Green paperbag shorts (old from Apiece Apart)
Olive floral top & skirt set (old from Apiece Apart; similar top & skirt)
Cream wide leg pants (NatalieB15)
Gingham bikini (mine is an old version, but the new top & bottom from the same brand is shown and linked)
Basket tote (restocking in limited quantities this month!)
Chunky hoops, slim hoops & hair pin — plus my coin necklace, rope necklace & coin toggle necklace (not shown above)
Packable straw hat (not shown above)
Now, here are the outfits I wore on the trip using the items above!

You have inspired many of my recent outfits and I appreciate how you always offer to your readers budget friendly options. Not everyone has the funds to purchase nonchalantly plastic shoes from the row and simple white shirts for over 1000 usd. Thank you for taking a realistic approach to fashion
I’ve been following you for a long time and just wanted to tell you thank you! Your style has evolved in a way that inspires me as my own style “grows up.” Out of all the style accounts I follow, yours is always the most realistic and truly helpful. It also helps that your color palette is pretty much the same as mine. Thanks for years of inspiration, I’m so glad you put these posts out there!
