A great summer wardrobe doesn’t need to rely on having more, but rather on knowing how to do more with less.
This month, I’m living out that philosophy in real time with my carry-on summer capsule wardrobe. With just my summer essentials in my suitcase, I’ve been rewearing pieces over and over again — mixing, matching, outfit repeating and layering them to work across different cities, temperatures, and moods.
And I have to say: this is when wardrobe clarity really shines. When you pack light, every item has to pull its weight, and nothing is allowed in my carry-on that can’t be worn several different ways and mix with the other pieces I’ve brought.
That’s where wardrobe workhorses come in. These are the pieces that flex across different outfits without losing their impact. They’re easy to dress up or down. They can shift with your mood or the setting. They make everything else easier.
