Week in Review | 06
A little office tour (still in progress!), the importance of perspective, a May moodboard, and more...
We made a ton of progress on the Natalie Borton Designs studio this week! It’s definitely it’s not done yet — we still need to add another curtain, hang the mirror, make final decisions on the sconces and product displays, and choose a rug. But with even just the mirror leaning, our logo on the door, the lights hanging, and 4 of the 5 curtain panels up, it’s feeling SO GOOD in here. Here’s a peek at Natalie Borton Designs HQ as it is today…
Overall, it’s coming together and feeling more and more like a creative space, and I cannot wait until it’s finished and we can offer customer order pickup and shopping appointments!
Thought of the Week
May Moodboard
Instead of a lineup of products, I wanted to share a little moodboard with you that captures what I’m inspired by lately. I may try to make one of these each month because it’s fun to see the themes come through! Denim, cream, black and shades of tan/chocolate are really calling to me lately. And gold jewelry, always!
Also, not related to the moodboard but a valuable update to anyone who reads Legit Mom Style — I added a new section called Packing Light. That’s where I’ll continue to share packing lists for carry-on only travel (because truly, I will do anything to avoid checking a bag!!).
This look was my personal favorite from the week — olive green is my favorite color and I love the combo of the dress and bag with the NBD x THATCH earrings and ring.

Also, we haven’t started writing yet, but few of my friends and I decided to create a collaborative Substack called Reading Buddies that’s a virtual book club of sorts — feel free to follow along over there if you love to read!

Thanks for the link on the article about skincare. What a FASCINATING read. As a 37 year old I feel the pressure to do anti-aging treatments but also I want to be a minimalist and embrace the privilege of growing older. My approach has always been one of balance: I can be smart and wear my sunscreen and use my retinol but I don’t need to be doing a ten step routine with tons of products. It’s so refreshing to have the skincare obsession labeled and helps me take a step back and evaluate “is this healthy? Or is this a disordered ideal I’m trying to obtain.” Seriously one of the best articles I’ve read in a long time about the beauty industry. Thank you for sharing it!
I NEED that coffee mug!!!! Also thanks for including my piece!
