Week in Review #20: Dreams coming true in Carmel by the Sea
Why I'm feeling like Kathleen Kelly this week, plus my November moodboard, 20% off Clare V this weekend, and more.
It’s wild how much can happen in a year. Last November I was relaunching Natalie Borton Designs, and now my dreams are turning into reality in the heart of Carmel! This week, we took an exciting step forward, bringing Natalie Borton Designs to life in a new way — we paid a visit to TEJIDO Collective, where we've set up our six-month pop-up on Mission Street.
It’s a special milestone for me to see our NBD pieces displayed in such a beautiful, curated space, right there in the charming town I love so much. Our team poured so much thought and care into this setup, and we’re thrilled to share our vision with all of you in person.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I hope you’ll make time to stop by and shop Natalie Borton Designs IRL (and please tag me or DM me a photo if you do!!). Truly, I view this new in store experience as so much more than just shopping — it’s an opportunity to experience the brand in a new way, to feel the textures, try on pieces, and see how they fit seamlessly into your everyday style, and just feel inspired in some way to be your most authentic self.
Here’s to new beginnings and meaningful moments in Carmel!
P.S. Not related at all to everything I just wrote, but if you love Clare V like I do, KEEP READING THIS POST!! I’m hosting an IG Live and in-store event at Lido this weekend and they’re offering 20% off. You do not want to miss it, regardless of where you’re located!
Thought of the Week
November Moodboard
November is a season for slow mornings with a steaming coffee, coastal walks wrapped in my favorite outerwear, and meaningful moments of both solitude and connection. Each piece in this curation embodies effortless confidence: bold croc-embossed belts, tailored layers that balance function and beauty, and vintage-inspired touches that remind me of a time when quality and craftsmanship truly mattered. It’s a reminder to choose 'less but better'—to invest in what serves us season after season, wears beautifully over time, and makes us feel our best, every day. Here’s to a month of rich textures, cozy rituals, and gratitude.
Dropping Tomorrow
Our Asymmetrical French Pin is back by popular demand, and we’re also introducing a brand-new design: the Shell French Pin. Both are perfect for adding that effortlessly chic touch to any look, whether you're off to work, brunch, or a night out.
Both designs will be available in a small or large size and work well with a variety of hair textures from fine to coarse to straight to curly, making them versatile (and beautiful) staples for any accessory collection.
We also will be restocking our beloved, best-selling Everyday Huggie Hoops and super luxe Thick Herringbone Chain just in time for holiday styling and gifting, so don't miss those!
SATURDAY (!!!) — Get 20% Off Clare V
On Saturday (aka TOMORROW) I’ll be hopping on Instagram Live at 9am PT to share my favorite Clare V products with you, as well as hosting an In-Person Event from 10am-12pm at their Lido Village store.
To help you prep for your shopping, I’ve linked my top picks here.
What I’m Reading & What’s Up Next
READING NOW: The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin | Ohhhhhh this is so good. I will probably re-read many times. So inspired by Rick Rubin and his thoughts on creativity and art, and this definitely has given me a lot to think about as a designer.
NEXT UP: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah | Not my usual genre at all, but a friend recommended it highly so I’m going out on a limb and giving it a try.
Hope you have a great weekend — until next time!
xx
