Week in Review #27: Glimmers
Plus what I wore all month & my 7 favorite January outfits.
Have you ever heard the term glimmers? It’s a concept I recently learned about after sharing about January being a month of grief. Glimmers are essentially the opposite of triggers — the quiet, intentional micro-moments that bring a sense of ease and calm to our nervous system.
Taking a walk in the fresh air, sipping coffee at a favorite café, listening to a song that soothes us, or sitting by the ocean and letting the waves reset our thoughts and our breath — these small, deliberate acts can apparently have a profound impact.
They don't erase the hard things, but they offer moments of peace, calm and self-care during times of difficulty.
When everything feels heavy, glimmers can offer a place to rest, and moments of relief in the midst of uncertainty or grief, strengthening our ability to move through challenges with more resilience and peace.
My favorite glimmers are getting coffee at a favorite local spot, being near the ocean and taking a walk. What about you?
Thought of the Week
No but really, why is this how the year always feels?!
What I Wore in January — Plus 7 Favorite Outfits
It’s officially been one month of tracking my wardrobe and I’m really enjoying it so far. Below you can see a screenshot of exactly what I wore each day of January (and behind the scenes, I’m starting to build great data on which pieces I’m wearing most — or least).
And these were 7 of my favorites I wore this past month…
Everyday Luxury: The Valentine’s Edit
This week I put together our Valentine’s Edit, which features timeless 14k gold and gold-filled jewelry crafted for everyday wear. These are extra-special pieces are destined to be cherished for a lifetime and perfect for celebrating love or treating yourself to something truly special.
What I’m Reading This Week
FICTION: The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark (I kind of feel like I’ve read it before but I don’t remember what happens so I’m going to keep on going!)
NON-FICTION: A Woman’s Place by Katelyn Beaty (Recommended by a friend when I told her I loved Every Good Endeavor by Tim Keller. Just started it yesterday.)
Hope you have a great weekend — until next time!
xx

I’m committed to thrifting this year so I just added *brown shirt to wear as jacket* to my list.
