Week in Review #37: Mother's Day Gift Guide
And a little recap of our event at the shop this week
Yesterday we hosted a very special Mother’s Day pop-up event at the shop with two brands we deeply admire: Yearly Company and Reed Vintage. The day began with fresh coffee from Seven Seas Roasting Co and a gorgeous assortment of pastries, and we ended the evening with chilled glasses of our favorite We Drink Bubbles champagne, a delicious spread by Chef Eliza, and the dreamiest floral stem bar by Wallflower Inspiration. It was one of those rare days where everything aligned — the sun was shining, the breeze was soft, and the energy in the studio felt joyful and easeful in the best way.
One of my favorite parts of these events — aside from seeing your faces in real life and hearing your stories — is the chance to pause and reflect on the bigger picture of what we’re building here. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day logistics, the product launches, the endless to-do lists. But days like yesterday remind me of the real heart behind this brand: connection, beauty, and a shared sense of purpose.
I feel so lucky to be creating a business in collaboration with so many inspiring women. From my own small (but mighty) team of women, to the incredible founders I partner with, to the women who come through our doors as customers and leave as part of the NBD community — it’s an honor to walk alongside you. There’s something powerful about building something rooted in values, not just vision. We’re not just making accessories or hosting events — we’re building relationships, encouraging thoughtful living, and supporting one another.
Whether you stopped by to pick out something special for Mother’s Day, or simply came to say hi and soak in the moment, thank you. I’m so glad you’re part of this.
