Week in Review #44: Next up, London.
Followed by one final week of travel in my favorite place to celebrate the 4th of July.
Our time in Mallorca has been nothing short of magical, and I’m so glad we really went for it. Tomorrow morning we pack up and say goodbye to this slow, beautiful island life and head to London for a quick stop before continuing on to New England to see my parents.
There’s no place I’d rather be for the 4th of July. It’s full of flags and good energy and that classic, all-American summer feeling I grew up with — wholesome, nostalgic, and just the right kind of festive.
This in-between moment feels like a natural pause point. A moment to take stock, reset, and reflect a bit before diving into the second half of the year. I’ve been thinking a lot about rhythm lately — what it looks like to live in sync with the season I’m in, rather than trying to push through it. Historically, summer has been my least favorite season (too hot, too unstructured, too much) — but this year, I’m starting to see it differently. There’s beauty in every season if I’m willing to meet it where it is and appreciate what it offers.
xx,
Natalie
P.S. For those of you who have been waiting for the Sold Out NYC x Natalie Borton cropped Chocolate Brown tank to drop, wait no longer. It’s available now, limited edition, mostly true to size but I do personally prefer my smaller size in the tanks. The color is absolutely perfect!
Thought of the Week

Little Luxuries
There’s something about slowing down that makes you notice the smallest things. Some of my favorite little luxuries from this past month:
Coffee shop visits (almost daily) with my family to the cutest local spot, and getting to practice my Spanish with the owner and staff — I am going to miss them!
Negronis before dinner with Brian. The perfect drink on a hot summer night in Europe if you ask me.
These views — water, mountains, rocks. And don’t forget the feeling of a warm, salty breeze.
The most beautiful fresh produce. I was enamored with these tomatoes at the market the other day.
Evening walks with gelato (Pistachio, always). It’s such a simple and beautiful end to our evenings here, and I love how different everything looks and feels in town when the sun goes down.
Beauty Notes
Whether I’m at home or on the road, I’ve always been drawn to a simple routine — just a handful of products that make me feel like myself, without taking up too much time or space.
Here’s what I’ve been reaching for this month:
Ursa Major Forest Alchemy Eye Cream: Somehow simultaneously creamy and light. It’s become staple in my routine year-round.
True Botanicals Radiance Oil: Keeps my skin nourished and glowy, even with long travel days.
True Botanicals Chebula Active Serum: A daily favorite. Improves skin tone, hydrates, and strengthens skin barrier.
True Botanicals Phyto Retinol Sleep Serum & Clinical Cream: Gentle, effective, and easy to stick with. These have replaced my prescription retinol this summer.
Lesee Everytone SPF: Lightweight, untinted, mineral sunscreen that blends in seamlessly and never feels heavy.
MERIT Day Glow Highlighting Balm in Solstice: Subtle, luminous, and effortless.
MERIT Flush Balm in Stockholm: Cream blush that melts into skin and always looks natural. I love it paired with Day Glow.
Kosas Brow Gel in Medium Chocolate Brown: Quick brow definition that keeps everything in place.
A few steps, a lot of impact — and no decision fatigue. Just how I like it.
Founder Notes
Traveling always inspires me, and this trip is no exception. I’ve found myself constantly taking mental (and actual) notes for what’s next at Natalie Borton Designs, jotting them down and sending them over our team Slack. Textures, colors, shapes, even how people wear their accessories in real life — all of it’s been inspiring.
There’s a richness and lived-in ease here that resonates with me and the ease of California style. I’m excited to get back to the studio soon and bring that energy into what we’re creating for future collections.
Coming very soon…
Sera Crescent Bag in Bone Leather (then Black Leather, then Chestnut Suede)
Marlowe Link Chain with a new sunburst texture — and coordinating earrings that can be worn as drop earrings or simple huggie hoops.
Leather zip pouches in small and medium sizes.
Our new Maren Essential Belt in Black Leather, plus our brand new made-in-the-USA Natalie Belts in Black Leather, Brown Leather, Croc, and beyond.
So many good things to come. Thank you for being along for the ride! As always, our email list gets Early Access to everything, so if you’re interested in what’s to come I highly recommend joining and being the first to shop those limited edition drops.
Want to hang out IRL? I’ll be in Carmel by the Sea on Saturday, July 12th at TEJIDO, and we’ll be hosting Sold Out NYC and Reed Vintage on Thursday, July 24th at our Solana Beach studio. Details here.
