Week in Review #46: I Need a Nap
But first — some highlights from a full, beautiful week
I won’t lie — I'm tired. The good kind (mostly). The kind that comes after weeks full of people, places, and a lot of movement.
There was a trip to LA to source leather and visit factories. Then Big Bear with family and friends. Then the event with Sold Out NYC and Reed Vintage. Time with Karla and her family. Time with my team. Time on my feet. And now — finally — a moment to pause.
The NBD x Freda collaboration is now officially live, and getting to share it with you all has been such a highlight of this year. We’ve been working on this since last July, when I flew out to San Francisco to begin leather selections and design, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we made. The ballet flats beautifully designed, deeply wearable, and such a natural fit for this community. You can sign up for first dibs here.
Now? I’m laying low. No travel planned. Wearing my pajamas all weekend. I’m hitting my limit, and I’m listening to that. Especially because everything will only continue to pick up as we get closer to fall and the holidays. The weeks ahead are about staying focused on what I need to focus on, getting quiet, going deep on creative work, and enjoying the rhythms of home.
That’s it for now. Just wanted to say thank you — for being here, for showing up and supporting the work we do, and for celebrating the big (and little) moments with me. More soon, but for now… rest.
Thought of the Week
Sold Out NYC & Reed Vintage Event Recap
Our event on Thursday with Sold Out NYC and Reed Vintage at the Solana Beach studio was one of those pinch-me moments. Conversations, style chats, friends popping in to say hi, and new faces who felt like instant community.
The Reed Vintage Reworked Patchwork Denim Jackets were a huge hit — as always — and it was so fun to watch people try them on and instantly light up. And the Sold Out NYC pieces looked right at home hanging up in our space. I loved seeing which pieces you gravitated toward and ended up with. I also finally got a chance to try on their strapless dress and absolutely loved it.
If you came by — thank you. You made the day what it was, and I loved getting to connect with you in real life. These kinds of events always refill my creative tank in ways that nothing else can.

Summer Skincare
I’m officially hooked on True Botanicals. I learned about them a little under a year ago when I met someone from their team at a luncheon. Curious, I started incorporating their products earlier this year and they have quickly taken over my entire routine. I’ve stopped using my prescription skincare and switched over to just their simple, easy, clean, effective and luxe products. I’m a super fan.
Pure Radiance Oil: I use this twice a day, sometimes I’ll use it mid-day for a skin pick-me-up when I’m a bit tired and dehydrated. Keeps my skin nourished and glowy, even with long work days.
Chebula Active Serum: A daily favorite that I use every morning. Improves skin tone, hydrates, and strengthens skin barrier.
Vitamin C Booster: I mix this with the Chebula Active Serum in the morning and apply to clean, dry skin. It’s made a huge impact with my skin discoloration.
Phyto Retinol Sleep Serum & Clinical Cream: Gentle, effective, and easy to stick with. These have replaced my prescription retinol this summer and are part of my nightly routine.
At Home Facialist Peel: I use this chemical exfoliator once a week after cleansing my skin (usually on the weekend).
