What I Packed for 3 Days in Carmel & Big Sur
A little rainy, a little foggy, and a little bit of sunshine, too.
Over the holidays we took our first family trip up to my favorite part of California — Carmel by the Sea and Big Sur. It was so much fun to see it through my kids’ eyes and a beautiful way to end the year. As always, I only packed a carry-on and a tote bag, and I had plenty of options to work with for our activities:1
Dinner at La Bicyclette
Walking around Carmel by the Sea
Visiting my shop at TEJIDO on Mission St
Driving down Highway 1 to enjoy the views
Lunch at The Sur House
Walking down to Carmel Beach
Dinner at Carmel Valley Ranch
A day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
OUTERWEAR:
Green vintage oversized coat (similar here, or if you search secondhand, the brand is Harvé Bernard)
1970s vintage bomber jacket (purchased on the trip, actually! Sourced by Wally’s)
TOPS & LAYERS
Brown sweater (sized up in this one)
BOTTOMS:
SHOES & ACCESSORIES
Gold Mary Jane flats (15BORTON for your first order)
Oversized black tote (I don’t own this — yet! — it was sent to me for December just to try it out for a little bit. Loved it for travel!)
I also packed these pajamas — my current favorites! (Natalie10 for 10% off)
And here are the outfits I put together with these items:
