What I Packed for 9 Days in Portugal
Weather forecast in the 60s with a bit of rain.
This week Brian and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and spending some time in Portugal for the first time. The forecast has been iffy, with some forecast showing a very chilly and rainy week — and others showing sun and 60s. The most recent forecast suggested very light rain, so I decided to just pack in layers and have an umbrella handy.
Below is everything that I’m bringing with me in my carry-on suitcase. To help pack efficiently, I use packing cubes and I try to wear my bulkier items (like jeans, chunky sweater, etc) on the plane to save space.
This time around, I’m using my Basket Tote as my personal item since I want to bring it with me and it doesn’t fit in my carry-on. I’ve traveled with it before and can confirm it’s super sturdy and able to hold my books and essentials I need handy during flights. Since we will be taking an overnight flight, I keep my pajamas handy so I can change out of jeans and into soft clothes. It always feels little ridiculous, but it guarantees more sleep on the plane without having to wear sweats the whole day.
