I’ve only been to Paris once before, and it was in August—aka scorching hot. This time around, the forecast is similar to what it currently is in San Diego, just a little cooler (50s/low 60s during the day and 40s at night). Ultimately, it’s going to be fairly mild with some rain in the forecast. I knew I’d want to pack one big coat, especially for dinners out, and otherwise focused on lightweight pieces and knits I could layer and mix & match.

As always, I traveled with just a carry-on roller bag (this one) and a large tote, wearing my bulkier items (coat, sneakers, top, sweater) to save space. My toiletries, books, and chargers went into my Scout bag, which is the tote I decided to bring. I won’t lie — this felt like the absolute max limit of my carry-on’s capacity, but somehow, I made it work.

Here’s everything that I’m bringing with me…
