These all look so fab! I love the barrel jean and think you described their appeal perfectly. I tried the COH but I’m only 5’0 and they just felt like a bridge too far. But they look so perfect on you maybe I’ll revisit them. Love your belt, too!
I'm shocked you didn't say COH Ayla, I thought for sure you wear those! Do you find the length of the Frame pair to be similar? I'm 5'8 and the Ayla is so versatile since they can be worn long or cuffed.
Love the coh but just got the free people barrel jeans and they are actually pretty awesome for $98!! I saw the cutest girl in the doen store in lido village wearing them and asked if they were the Citizens and lo and behold they were free people!
Thank you for this! I love the Frame Bubble and am wondering do you find the Rag and Bone to have a similar mid rise fit? I’m short waisted and feel most comfortable in a mid rise so was curious.. Also, would you pair this style with Freda Salvador Brooke boots for a cold weather day?
The Rag & Bone does have a similar fit but with the ankle length and also some different stitching details. I have the same size in both the Bubble and the Charlie jeans and the Charlie fit looser overall I’d say. I think if I sized down in the Rag & Bone Charlie they’d have a slightly higher rise than the Bubble though!
I also love this style and also live in California. I’m wondering how often you’ve worn this style in other places when traveling during cold weather- or what other readers are thinking and any styling inspiration. I think I struggling with shoes/ankles, etc when thinking about that style as well as balancing what I wear on top and coat, etc. when in actual cold weather.
Hi Beth! I live in Michigan, so quite a different climate than California, and have been gravitating toward this style as well. I wear mine with ballet flats, loafers or heels most often.

I love my Ayla’s!! But they really are more of a wide leg than a barrel jean.

The Freda Salvador founders style theirs with the FS boots all the time and it looks super cool!
