I live for these “what I packed / wore” posts! So good! I’m also thinking about ordering the Reformation sandals, are they true to size? Thank you so much! xx

We were in Portugal around the same time as you and the weather was certainly a challenge!! We didn’t love our hotel in the Algarve - did you like where you stayed & would you be ok sharing? Albufiera was a tad too hectic & party town for us!

Loved Lisbon and we also went to the Douro valley outside Porto which was stunning.

You did an excellent job with your packing! I felt like half of my selections were perfect and the rest was a miss! But I did notice how popular the trench coat was in the cities! Glad I brought mine

The weather totally threw me for a loop — changed my whole packing list the day before we left!!

We also found Albufeira too full of bars and pubs for our liking. Stayed at a beautiful place in Lagos called Palmares Beach House Hotel. Very quiet and we could visit other close by towns.

I love this! Super helpful. When we were in Portugal we had a real mix of hot days and cool days. Needed everything. Natalie, what size are you wearing in the Nanin shorts? Just want an idea of sizing. Thanks.

Any guidance on how you pack your toiletries in your carryon? Traveling to Poland soon for a week and ideally will just have a carry on but toiletries make it a real challenge. Would love some tips! Thanks!

Less is more is absolutely key. I definitely avoid any extras, and put things into Cadence containers if they are in a larger bottle and can’t go through TSA. If you fly through Heathrow note that they are VERY strict and will not give you any wiggle room. Remember you can also buy basics like toothpaste when you get to your destination.

I almost exclusively travel carry-on after some bad experiences with overpacking when I was younger. And I am kind of high maintenance when it comes to toiletries. So I have a couple hacks to add to what Natalie said:

*Wipes, bar soaps, and stick deodorant don’t count as liquids for your quart baggie. For longer trips, I sometimes go to Sephora and stock up on little sample sized bar face cleansers, exfoliating and make-up wipes, etc.

*Like Natalie, I decant everything into the smallest possible bottles. Contact lens cases are honestly great for this. I even decant liquid make-up sometimes.

*Anything I am not brand loyal to I will run into a pharmacy and grab when I arrive (toothpaste, contact solution, body sunscreen, etc.).

*If you have a low maintenance male travel companion - I’ve been known to stash things in my husband’s baggie 😂.

Love this - thank you! Never thought to decant liquid makeup as well.
