What I Wore This Week (and Last Week) #11: Late August & Early September Outfits
Emotionally ready for fall, but the heat wave is killing the vibe.
I took the end of the summer off from this series, but I’m back! How have you been? I’d love to hear about your summer — where did you go? What did you do? What did you add (or subtract) from your wardrobe? Gimme the details!
To get myself caught up, I’m going to recap my everyday looks from September so far, as well as the end of August. I’ve been wearing The Natalie Belt nonstop and am so excited to finally launch it later this month — if you live in northern California, we’ll be making it available first at our Carmel pop-up event on September 28th, and then it’ll go live online on Monday, September 30th. Be sure you’re on the email and/or text list to get early shopping access!
Keep reading to see all of the outfits, and let me know in the comments which one is your favorite!1
AUGUST 28: I’m loving darker denim for fall, and this new shirt coordinates really well with my favorite jeans! Admittedly the sweater over the shoulders was ambitious — I definitely didn’t need it quite yet.
AUGUST 29: I finally ordered a button-back blazer from Havre Studio and as soon as it arrived I wanted to wear it out. I paired it with a tank, baggy jeans and heels for my husband’s birthday dinner.
AUGUST 31: This is my go-to for beach and pool days — swimsuit, oversized linen shirt, hat, sunnies and straw tote. (If I think I’ll be going anywhere else, I throw on denim shorts to finish the look).
AUGUST 31 (EVENING): Our friend Shiloh turned 40 and threw a Gatsby-themed party, so we had a chance to get dressed up and have a fun night out with friends. I love the low back on this dress!
SEPTEMBER 2: A casual jeans & tee look for low-key family time on Labor Day Weekend. It’s such a no-fail combo that can easily be elevated with accessories like a belt, baseball cap and a great bag.
SEPTEMBER 3: This dressssssss. So special, so cool, so comfortable. I love it (and also have it in a cream color, which you can see here). It can be tied several ways, but this is my favorite.
SEPTEMBER 5: Have you met my dog yet? This is Hank! He’s a Great Dane who loves to nap, but hates to be alone for too long — he comes with me to the office at least once a week.
Also, loving the French Twist for fall instead of a claw clip — we dropped this Asymmetrical one last week and it sold out quickly, but we will have a restock so be sure to sign up for the 1st dibs list here so you don’t miss it.
SEPTEMBER 4: Another look with the Havre Studio blazer, this time styled even more for warm weather and paired with shorts and a tank. I love the way it drapes and moves.
SEPTEMBER 9: This look can easily transition into fall with a jacket or sweater. I also have these trousers in cream and wore them in Kenya earlier this year — they’re the perfect combo of structured and slouchy.
Until next time!
xx
