I really hope this comes off as constructive and not critical but I feel like what you’re describing as a “style membership” is just a paid subscription tier.

For instance Anna Newton of The Wardrobe Edit does an “Ask Me Anything” (once a month I think?) where paid subscribers can submit styling dilemmas, questions etc. Along the same lines Kate Eskuri of the Reset has posts that are paywalled that sort of function as a community forum on a certain topic. This sort of sounds like what you’re describing as exclusive q&a and community connection.

I would definitely be interested in deeper dives on personal style and styling ideas, etc. and fully support writers paywalling content that they work hard on. I subscribe to the two above and the value is 👌🏼 and am happy to support their work. To be honest though $10/month seems pricey compared to most Substack subscriptions so I’d be hesitant to commit to that without proof of concept.

I completely second everything Leanne has shared above :)

I would love to gage more help in the style area. I’ve personally been so encouraged and inspired by your posts. My fourth and final babe is 2.5 years and I’m still in the “finding myself” place again. I am mostly off social media (besides a handful of times a year) because I find it’s not a benefit to my mental health in this season of life. However, I miss the best parts of it. Reading your emails have been so sweet and looked forward to in my extended postpartum cocoon season. Thank you! Excited to see what’s next!

I LOVE that excerpt, cannot wait to read the full article. I’ve been a long-time follower and there are not many subscriptions or services that I would “get behind” enough to pay monthly for; however, if you started a “style club” I believe that I would absolutely allot for that every month. I feel like my style has evolved, and continues to!, over the last several years, but over the last year strongly realizing that style IS individual and personal and I try encourage others to also view it that way. Even just this morning at church someone was telling me how they follow someone on socials and that I was dressed how this influencer said was “appropriate” or “in” for 2025. She specifically named how skinny jeans were “out”, etc. it was a great moment for me to say “well, hey…nothing is “out” just because an influencer says it is. If you feel good in it, it’s never a “style don’t”. Anyway, all that to say that I would absolutely love to be in a club because I feel that my ideals line up with yours, but it would be amazing to continue to develop and lean into a personal style along with others who care about that sort of thing as much as I do.

Also, a total sidenote: I appreciate your generosity to share and educate us on Insta but also here on Substack free of charge. So many other “influencers” charge to read Substack posts and (as I said) there’s not much that I would pay for. I know it’s a ton of work, so I get it, but your heart behind what you do is refreshing and appreciated. So, thank you! 🫶🏼

I would totally get on board with a style membership, provided it was online in a form that was easy to participate in without being on social media to do so (like email, substack, etc.) I love the idea of having challenges and bits of style "homework" to get inspired to look at my own personal style in new ways, and I would love to see others who are doing the same (to get more inspiration!)

I adore your style and perspective, and I deeply appreciate how much of your time, creativity and effort goes into the content you share with us. Please know your work makes an impact and is very much valued!

However, as someone who is trying very hard to break up with social media, paywalls are making it a challenge to do so in this current economy. I greatly want to support artists and creators like yourself, but having minimal discretionary income, I am finding it increasingly challenging to do so.

I would 1000% join a style club. I’m 3 months postpartum and really eager to replenish my closet with comfy, good fitting items that I actually love. Please do it!

I’d love the style club! I struggle so much with being able to combine outfits in a way that feels like me. Once I find one, I just wear it out constantly 😂

I’d love to join your style club. One of my goals this year is to develop my personal style and finally have a few go to outfits and outfit formulate for day and date night. So I vote yes!

I love the idea of a style club, most specifically because I appreciate the way you view the personal nature of “style.”

I’m curious if you/this group think that barrel jeans will stay relevant for awhile. I bought some this year and love them. I’d like to get more. Maybe this is speaking to the idea of wearing what I like, no matter if it’s still in style or not.

My thoughts on barrel jeans. They will be very short lived and be added to the “fad” category. That being said, if you feel great in them and love the way they fit. Wear them always. I’m getting to the age where I just want to wear what I think looks nice and am comfortable in independent of the trends.

I agree. Maybe just one more pair 😛

Yes!! I agree with you Laura. I’m sure at some point I’ll tuck them away and save them for a future time but I feel SO myself in mine and am really glad I decided to give them a try.

Love this Natalie! Couldn’t agree more with that quoted section! 🤍

Just wondering: if you start a style membership, will we lose the free content of your posts here or your reels on outfits, etc. on IG? Personally am not interested in paying for a membership right now, but do love your content. Thanks!

Hi Nadia! Everything that's currently free would remain free, except for possibly the packing lists. For those, I think I'd have them put into the style club archive (but maybe free for the first week so they're accessible to all for a bit).
