What I Wore This Week | 04
Jam packed with some great outfits — my new denim trench, a secondhand Prada-like jacket & outfits from our trip to Mexico!
This week of outfits was SOLID if you ask me!! Sometimes I feel like the outfits are just outfitting and that’s how I’m feeling putting together this post. Lately I’ve been in a good groove with my style…that is, until the weather gets super warm and I need to get into a new groove all over again, haha. Oh well, that’s the fun of it all! I think too often we take fashion too seriously and forget to have fun with it. And honestly, the more fun I have and the more creative my mindset is when I’m getting dressed, the better my outfits turn out. If you need a giggle about how to tell if something is fashionable, take a minute and watch this reel — you’re welcome ;)
Now, here’s what I wore this past week…1
TUESDAY: THIS TRENCH!! It arrived the evening before and I knew I wanted to wear it immediately. It’s so beautiful, and I love how long it is on me (I’m 5’4” for reference). I’m very drawn to denim & shades of tan/brown right now so this outfit was a no-brainer.
WEDNESDAY: One of my kids was home sick, but I needed to swing by the studio to meet the sign guy (WE FINALLY HAVE SIGNAGE!!) so I kept the look very casual and comfortable, yet elevated. Wearing the 18” Solana Necklace here, and I love the longer length with a deep v neckline.
THURSDAY (Travel Outfit): Hola México!! We left in the morning to fly down to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate our friend’s 40th birthday. It was such an incredible trip!! I shared my whole packing list here. The tote was a Natalie Borton Designs x Abby Alley collaboration, but sadly we sold out very quickly and it’s no longer available. Hopefully we can bring it back again!!
THURSDAY (Evening): For drinks, dinner & a night out in Sayulita, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and finally wore this brown mini dress that I’ve had in my closet for A YEAR!!! I have always been drawn to the color and minimalist silhouette, but my insecurities got the best of me and I felt like I couldn’t pull off the super short length. I’m really glad I got over it because this dress is FIRE!!
FRIDAY (Daytime): This coverup is new (a gift from Anemos) and proved to be a dreamy vacation dress that worked equally well to wear to breakfast and also as a coverup when we went down to the beach. And of course, that espresso color is my obsession right now.
FRIDAY (Evening): Friday night was the big birthday dinner, which our friends hosted at a villa on the hotel property. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! The most gorgeous place I’ve ever laid eyes on. It was such a beautiful evening together celebrating our friend and I never wanted the night to end! Sadly my dress is no longer available (brand is Sold Out NYC), but I’ll link the rest for you.
SATURDAY (Travel Day): For breakfast with the group, then a travel day home, I went with a loose & comfy matching set. (Sadly this exact one is no longer available, but the brand is Apiece Apart!)
SUNDAY: Back at home, a jacket was definitely necessary (not quiiiite as warm in San Diego as it is down in Nayarit, sadly!). But it was a great chance to test out my newest secondhand find, which was 100% inspired by this photo of Kirsten Dunst in a Prada jacket.
MONDAY: The trench strikes again! I stuck with my current favorite color combo of blue, cream and brown, this time with a jumpsuit instead of pants. The woven ballet flats and tote are a perfect pairing.
Until next time!
xx

I love all of these, but I especially love that dress. Question: do you think there is a huge quality difference between buying a tank top that’s less expensive from, say, J crew versus the places that you’re buying it from? I’m guessing the answer is yes but it just always feels like a lot of money to spend $85 on a tank top. I just can’t quite bring myself to do that.
A GREAT week of outfits - I agree! X
